Manage your Heritage Recipe account from your dashboard.

Signing In

Heritage Recipe uses Google Sign-In for secure, passwordless authentication.

1. Click Get Started or Sign In
2. Choose your Google account
3. You're in!

Your dashboard includes:

View all your uploaded and created recipes:

• Access download links
• Regenerate with different styles

View and share your public recipe pages:

• Your unique Recipe Box URL
• All your shared recipes in one place
• Share your family's heritage

Profile Customization

Personalize your Recipe Box profile to make it uniquely yours.

Accessing Settings

1. Click your avatar in the top right corner
2. Select Settings from the dropdown
3. Or go directly to /settings in your browser

Display Name

Your display name appears on your Recipe Box page and recipe attributions.

To change your display name:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Enter your preferred name
3. Click Save Changes

Tips:

• Use your real name or a family name
• This appears as "[Name]'s Recipe Box"
• Keep it personal and meaningful

Bio

Add a short bio to tell visitors about your family's culinary heritage.

To add or edit your bio:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Write your bio (up to 160 characters)
3. Click Save Changes

Example bios:

• "Preserving three generations of Italian-American family recipes"
• "Sharing Grandma's Southern comfort food with the world"
• "A collection of recipes from our multicultural kitchen"

Profile Picture

Your profile picture appears on your Recipe Box page header.

To update your picture:

1. Go to Settings → Profile
2. Click Change Avatar
3. Upload a new image
4. Click Save Changes

Tips:

• Use a clear, friendly photo
• Square images work best
• Family photos add a personal touch

Username

Your username creates your Recipe Box URL: heritagerecipe.ca/r/[username]

To claim or change your username:

1. Go to Settings → Username
2. Enter your preferred username
3. Check availability
4. Click Claim Username

Important notes:

• You can change your username up to 2 times
• Changing your username updates all your recipe URLs
• Old URLs will redirect to your new username

Recipe Library

Your recipes are saved automatically and never expire. Access them anytime from any device by signing in with your Google account.

Data & Privacy

We take your privacy seriously:

• Recipes are stored securely
• We never share your data with third parties
• You can delete your data at any time
