QA Review Process

Understand how quality assurance works and what to expect during review.

QA Review Process

Every generated recipe goes through a quality assurance (QA) review to ensure your text appears correctly in the final design.

Why QA Review Exists

Recipe designs are generated using advanced image generation. While powerful, the system needs verification to ensure:

  • Your recipe title is spelled correctly
  • All ingredients appear in the design
  • Instructions are complete and readable
  • No placeholder or decorative text was substituted

What the System Checks

Text Accuracy Score

Your design receives a QA score based on:

ComponentWeightWhat's Checked
Recipe Name15%Exact title match
Ingredients40%All ingredients present
Instructions35%All steps included
Metadata10%Prep time, servings, etc.

Score Thresholds

  • 90+ - Passes QA, ready to purchase
  • 85-89 - Warning shown, review carefully
  • Below 85 - May need regeneration

During Review

What You'll See

  1. Your generated design - Full preview of the recipe
  2. QA score - Overall quality rating
  3. Issue flags - Any specific problems detected
  4. Action buttons - Options to proceed or regenerate

Your Options

  • Approve & Purchase - Design looks good, proceed to download
  • Edit Recipe - Fix text issues and regenerate
  • Change Style - Try a different artistic style (one-time)

What to Look For

When reviewing your design, check:

Recipe Title

  • Is it spelled correctly?
  • Is it the complete title?
  • Is it prominently displayed?

Ingredients

  • Are all ingredients visible?
  • Are amounts correct (1 cup, 2 tbsp, etc.)?
  • Are there any missing items?

Instructions

  • Are all steps present?
  • Is the text readable?
  • Are steps in the correct order?

Overall Quality

  • Is the layout clean and readable?
  • Does the style match your expectations?
  • Would you be proud to display this?

Common Issues

Text Truncation

Long recipes may have text cut off. Solution: Simplify your recipe or choose a format with more space.

Fuzzy Text

Some styles prioritize artistic rendering. If text is hard to read, try a cleaner style like Modern Editorial.

Missing Content

If ingredients or steps are missing, use a text edit regeneration after verifying your source text is complete.

Style Mismatch

If the artistic style doesn't suit your recipe, use your one-time style change.

QC Modes

Different styles use different validation approaches:

How QA Works

  • The system verifies your recipe text appears correctly in the generated image
  • Strict text matching ensures accuracy
  • 90%+ of content must appear exactly as you wrote it
  • Best results come from clear, readable recipe text

Tips for Passing QA

  1. Keep recipes concise - Shorter recipes pass more easily
  2. Use clear language - Avoid unusual characters or formatting
  3. Review before generating - Catch typos early in the edit step
  4. Choose appropriate styles - Match style to recipe complexity

If QA Fails

Don't worry! You have options:

  1. Review the issues - Understand what's flagged
  2. Edit your recipe - Fix any text problems
  3. Regenerate - Use one of your 3 text edit regenerations
  4. Try another style - Some styles handle complex recipes better
