Ingredients

Cake

  • 4 blood oranges (zest 3, juice all)
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup almond meal
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • ¾ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp bourbon

Glaze

  • 1½ cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tsp blood orange juice
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp bourbon
  • 6 drops orange bitters
  • 1 tsp blood orange zest

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat 350°F. Grease & flour a 12-cup Bundt pan.

Cake

  1. 2Whisk flour, almond meal, baking powder, baking soda, salt.
  2. 3Beat eggs on medium-high, slowly add sugar, beat ~3 min until fluffy.
  3. 4On low, alternate adding flour mix and olive oil. Mix in yogurt, bourbon, citrus juice, and zest until just combined.
  4. 5Pour into pan, bake 35–40 min. Cool 15 min, then unmold.

Glaze

  1. 6Sift powdered sugar, whisk in juices, bourbon, bitters, zest. Drizzle over cooled cake.
