Portuguese Custard Tarts (Pasteis de nata)
Ingredients
- •0.5 milk
- •2 tablespoons butter
- •200 sugar
- •1/2 cornstarch (Maizena)
- •Vanilla bean or powder packet
- •1 lemon peel
- •6 egg yolks
Instructions
- 1In a saucepan, put 0.5 milk, the cornstarch, the vanilla and take to the heat to thicken.
- 2Remove and let cool a little, then add the 6 yolks.
- 3Stir very well and take back to the heat.
- 4Line the molds with puff pastry.
- 5Fill them with the cream.
- 6Take them to the oven again to brown the cream.
- 7Make the puff pastry.
